Product and Process Assessor


Help Airmar’s Quality Team monitor and manage quality attributes in production areas. Help Airmar’s Production Teams monitor and improve the quality of their processes and products.


  • Assist manufacturing departments by reviewing processes, workmanship, and products as they are being built.
  • Follow up with new hires to ensure they are comfortable in their position, capable to perform the duties assigned to them, identify if additional training is needed.
  • Contributor to Production Trainer’s material updates and content
  • Investigate if work instructions are sufficient and accurate to the process being followed
  • Work with the Quality Engineer to perform targeted audits
  • Perform random in-process inspections on product and material ensuring they meet our visual standards and documented specifications
  • Perform random packaged inspections on product ready to be shipped to customers
  • Contributor to Visual Acceptance Criteria catalog content and revisions
  • Complete customer requested outgoing inspections and reports


  • Minimum of HS diploma or GED with 1-3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment as an Inspector, Quality Technician, or Auditor.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and electronic workmanship standards.
  • Need to be able to approach individuals and provide constructive feedback.
  • Review documented processes and assess if operators are following the documentation.
  • Attention to detail and observation skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to follow schedule without constant supervision. Document findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Has the ability to reach out to various functional areas to gather information and concisely communicate results.
  • Experience with Microsoft office suite and ERP software systems.
  • Ability to use standard measuring devices: micrometers, verniers, calipers, thickness gauges, metal analysis system, CMM, optical and camera comparator, custom help tools, etc.
  • Good documentation, analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical and investigative individual with strong organizational skills.
  • Need to communicate verbally and written to all levels of the organization.
  • Attention to details in the manufacturing process a must.
  • Good visual acuity.
  • Ability to read work instructions.

Primary functions are performed sitting or standing or a combination of both.
  • Visual acuity sufficient for work which may deal with visual inspection.
  • Ability to wear protective clothing such as mask, gloves, safety glasses and or safety shoes as required.
  • Ability to endure periods of heavy workload or excessive stress.
  • Ability to interact positively as a team member with co-workers and supervision.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.
